Finance
The Finance Committee is responsible for the effective and efficient use of BFC funds on matters related to the clinic and community.  They monitor the expenses at the clinic and keep track of the budget to ensure that all grants are written and used for their correct purposes.  The Finance Committee also participates in fundraising for the clinic including the annual BFC BarNite.  All in all, the Finance Committee is responsible for all financial matters related to the clinic.

Human Resources
The Human Resources committee serves to recruit student interest and involvement in the Brooklyn Free Clinic. HR addresses incoming classes of medical students to explain the history and mission of BFC in order to enroll new volunteers for the coming academic year. Additionally, HR is expected to generate the schedule for volunteers in order to ensure that the clinic is properly staffed each Tuesday night.

Community Outreach
The Community Outreach committee serves as a liaison between the free clinic and the community. Our mission is to identify uninsured adults for referral to the free clinic as their source of primary medical care, educate the community about preventative health measures, and to keep pace with the changing needs of our community, so that the Brooklyn Free Clinic may evolve in ways that best serve those needs.

Referrals
The Referrals Committee extends services provided by the Brooklyn Free Clinic beyond Tuesday visits to specialty referrals so patients can benefit more fully from us. We assist patients with making appointments and setting up relations between the various specialty departments of the University Hospital of Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Free Clinic. We also assist with clearing bills if patients are accidentally billed.

BFC Cares
(Client-driven Advocacy, health Restoration and Empowerment Solutions) is an ambitious program that was envisioned from the very beginning of the Brooklyn Free Clinic in 2006. It is a true chronic care model, inspired by the concept of the patient-center medical home (PCMH). Our goal in BFC Cares to serve as a comprehensive primary care demonstration project for hospitals and student-run clinics across the country. BFC Cares incorporates longitudinal service, education, and research. We're striving to demonstrate that a well-coordinated, team-based and interdisciplinary approach to the care of an under served population with multiple medical as well as social needs can be achieved in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.  Working together with clients from the Brooklyn Free Clinic on a long-term, individual basis, we hope to improve the health and well-being of the Brooklyn community through personalized, holistic, and quality care.

Pharmacy
The Pharmacy Committee's goal is to make prescriptions and medical equipment as accessible as possible for BFC patients. We handle donated medical supplies. We also have agreements with two local pharmacies to provide prescriptions at-cost for our patients. We are also in the process of trying to arrange funding in order to help pay for BFC patients' prescriptions and obtaining donations from pharmaceutical companies. In addition to bulk donations, the Pharmacy Committee is launching the Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) Initiative. Committee members will work closely with patients and various pharmaceutical programs to facilitate the delivery of discounted/free medications to our long-term patients on a case-by-case basis.  The Pharmacy Committee is looking for anyone who is interested in moderate patient interaction, on-site clinical experience, writing grant proposals, interacting with other health professionals, such as pharmacists, learning about the current pharmaceutical market.  The Committee holds monthly meetings, typically lasting under one hour.

PA Students
The latest addition to the Brooklyn Free Clinic's volunteer complement, the PA students participate in health education and clinic care of the patients.

Social Work
Social workers first interact with patients at the initial screening appointment to determine eligibility. They continue to support the patients by providing them with a complete social evaluation and referrals to the many services that are available in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
