    Medication Assistance Program

posted Sep 5, 2011 11:51 AM by Eric Rosenfeld

The Brooklyn Free Clinic Pharmacy Committee introduces the BFC Medication Assistance Program (MAP).  Proudly sponsored by the Barman’s Fund, BFC MAP is a reimbursement program, partnered with local pharmacies, providing essential medication at zero cost to the patient.  BFC MAP was designed to address our patients’ rapidly growing need for medication in a market in which the costs of pharmaceuticals continue to rise.  Inspired by the generosity of a group of Brooklyn bartenders, local pharmacies agreed to bill the Clinic the cost prices for many of their medications, including a wide range of antibiotics. BFC MAP hopes to expand the drugs available in the coming months.
