Micheal O'Brien, a former student of SUNY Downstate College of Medicine,one of the founders of the Brooklyn Free Clinic, is
now a proud and community-engaged Buffalonian, Michael works 80-hour weeks as a
resident, but still manages to be involved with PUSH and MAP . He recently
won the University at Buffalo College of Medicine Arnold P. Gold
Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award, a prestigious
accolade that comes through nomination from a fellow resident. Drawing from his experience at the Brooklyn Free Clinic, he plans open a
