About the Brooklyn Free Clinic

     The Brooklyn Free Clinic is an independent, not-for-profit organization of volunteers affiliated with the SUNY Downstate Medical Center community. We provide full and free primary care medical services for the uninsured, adult population of Bedford-Stuyvesant and the surrounding communities. Our volunteers include students, physicians, and other health care professionals. While most of the volunteers are students in SUNY Downstate's various health care professional colleges, all medical care provided at the Brooklyn Free Clinic is supervised by an attending physician.

The Brooklyn Free Clinic does not provide emergency medical services.

     In the event of a medical emergency, please dial 911 or proceed to the nearest hospital emergency room.
