Quality, Improvement, and Research

The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Committee works to make the Brooklyn Free Clinic a safer, more effective, and more welcoming place for our patients. We use feedback and clinic data to understand what is working well and identify opportunities to improve the care and services we provide.

The CQI Committee collaborates with clinic leadership and program coordinators to evaluate patient experiences, health outcomes, and clinic operations. We also support data collection for research, grants, and program evaluation, while ensuring that patient information is handled responsibly and confidentially.

An important part of our work is reviewing new clinic projects and initiatives to help protect patient safety, maintain high-quality care, and ensure that changes to clinic operations improve the experience for both patients and volunteers. Through ongoing evaluation and collaboration, we strive to help the BFC continuously learn, grow, and better serve our community.
